Receive English practical lessons at Cal Poly Pomona. Students also experience American culture by different daily activities. Classes such as crafts, dance, sports, games and others. Spend 8 fun days at the YMCA Wild Camp joinning American children in the mountain camp and experience American culture. Different daily activities, such as crafts, horse riding, archery, creative fun recreational activities and campfire. Program includes field trips to the famous theme parks such as Disneyland and Universal Studios, Hollywood.

Camp offers:


Experience nature. Hike nearby trails with your cabin, learn about constellations in astronomy, take part in an out-camping experience. Relax near the creek during gold panning and get creative in our historic arts and crafts lodge.


Explore our grounds and learn about the natural world around you during our nature, geology, archaeology and Native American programs.


Complete group challenges at our low ropes course. Challenge yourself on our rock wall and high ropes courses. Test your precision on our archery range. Build your stamina on a mountain bike ride or invite another cabin to a game of volleyball.


Cool off with your cabin at our ADA compliant swimming pool, and enjoy supervision by our certified lifeguards. Take a hike to our beach on picture-perfect Jenks Lake, and paddle around in a canoe or kayak.


Campers live in a cabin with about 10 child children their own age and two adult volunteer cabin counselors.


Meals are served family style and every cabin eats together. Breakfast lunch and dinner consist of warm, delicious balanced meals and feature cereal, fruit and salad bars. Vegetarian options are available at each meal. Fresh fruit snacks available all day.


Volunteer counselors and directors are trained to ensure safety, demonstrate the YMCA core values, and support each and every camper’s growth. Our medical staff are volunteers certified in their fields and are trained to maintain the physical health of campers.


Every night, cabin groups have the opportunity to create and perform skits and songs. Self confidence blossoms. Under the guidance of trained staff, our ropes course, mountain biking, and hiking programs foster leadership and independence.

  • Expenses NOT included in the program fee: travel expenses (airfare), visa fees, field trip meals and shopping/souveniers.
  • Students should arrive one day prior their program's starting date, and leave the day of completing program. Early arrivals and late departures should plan to stay in a hotel by the student with advance arrangement.
  • The program fee balance must be paid and clear before the arrival. Payment can be by traveler's check (not personal check) or by bank wire transfer ($40 fee).
